December – February: Peak Season
Snowbirds arrive. Tee times fill. The social calendar hits full speed — Modernism Week in February turns Palm Springs into an architecture lover’s playground, and the BNP Paribas Open in early March is already being pencilled in by regulars. Prices are highest and properties book out months ahead. Give yourself serious lead time if this is your target window.
March – April: Festival Season
Two words: Coachella weekend. And then Stagecoach. And the BNP Paribas Open wrapping up. March and April are the most electric months in the valley — busy, loud, and completely alive. May – June: The Shoulder Season
Still perfectly playable in May. Warm days, low crowds, better value. June starts to climb toward summer heat, but early mornings on the golf course are still brilliant. Spend the hottest hours by the pool or exploring indoors, and the evenings outdoors again.
July – September: Desert Summer
Temperatures regularly exceed 40°C / 110°F. The valley goes quiet. Properties are significantly cheaper, and if you know what you’re doing — golf at 7am, pool by midday, long evenings outside — summer has its own appeal. Just go in with both eyes open.
