There is a reason the platforms exist. They make it easy to browse. They provide confidence when you don’t know a host. For a first-time booking in an unfamiliar city, they make sense.
La Quinta is not that situation.
Resort Home Destinations has been here for twenty years. We know every property in our portfolio personally. We answer when you text. We’re twenty minutes from your front door. Booking through Airbnb or Vrbo means adding a layer between you and us that does not need to be there — and paying for the privilege of it.
What You Get When You Book Direct
Better rates. Platform fees run anywhere from 12 to 20 percent of your total booking cost. When you book direct, that margin doesn’t vanish — it gets redistributed into your stay. Lower nightly rates, more room to negotiate on longer stays, and occasionally extras that platform terms would not allow us to offer.
Actual communication. Book through a platform and your messages get routed through a filtered inbox on their timeline. Book direct and you have our number. Text us. We reply. The conversation is immediate, personal, and goes both ways.
Flexibility. Platforms apply their own cancellation policies on top of ours. Direct bookings are governed by our terms only — which means more room for honest conversation when plans change.
A relationship, not a transaction. We have guests who come back six or seven times. Families who text us in January to hold the same house they had in March. Groups who trust us with their most important weeks of the year. That kind of loyalty runs in both directions — and it starts with the first direct booking.
How It Works
Simple. Browse our properties, pick your dates, and get in touch directly. We’ll confirm availability, walk through the options, and take it from there. No platform. No middleman. No percentage skimmed off the top. Just us, the house, and the valley.
