The Nest has been the go-to nightlife spot in Indian Wells since 1969, and it carries that heritage with the kind of ease that only comes from decades of getting it right. Equal parts supper club, cocktail lounge, and weekend dance floor, it is a Coachella Valley institution that manages to feel timeless rather than dated.

The room is dark, warm, and intimate — red leather banquettes, low lighting, and a bar that keeps the drinks generous and the conversation flowing. Live entertainment runs Thursday through Saturday, with swing bands, jazz nights, and old-school crooners filling the room in a way that the valley’s newer venues simply have not been able to replicate.

Dress smart and arrive by 8pm if you want a decent table on a weekend — the dining room fills up and the energy builds through the evening until the dance floor takes over. The food is secondary to the atmosphere, though the steaks and cocktails both hold their own. Indian Wells is 20 minutes from La Quinta on Highway 111.
